'Found this guy in the dumpster and he followed me home': Stray kitty adopts unsuspecting human, kind person gives feline a warm and loving furever home

Hey there, friends and cat lovers alike! Over here at the ICanHasCheezburger editorial office, we absolutely love a wholesome adoption story. Some of our favorites are the ones where the feline chooses their human, rather than the other way around. It shows the resilience of our sweet feline companions and their enormous capacity for unconditional love. Stray cats are a huge problem around the world, and unfortunately, not all of them get a second chance at life in the comfort of a warm and loving forever home. But for one sweet orange baby featured in today's story, that was fortunately not the case.

It all started when the original poster (or OP) spotted an orange cat skulking around their neighborhood complex. She had noticed the cat but was wary of approaching, waiting instead for the cat to initiate contact to ensure his comfort. When the cat finally did approach requesting attention and pets, OP took the opportunity to scoop up the sweet feline and bring him home. And good thing, too! OP mentions that it has been very cold in her area over the past few weeks. We can only imagine the stress that sweet cat felt trying to stay warm and fed.

This story warms our cat-loving hearts and reminds us that there are so many good and kind human beings around the world who truly want to make a positive difference in their cats' lives.

  • This sweet baby has clearly been through it! We are so delighted that the struggle bus days are over and from here on out its warmth, cuddles, biscuits, and a whole lot of love. Every cat deserves this kind of happy ending.

    What a sweet boy. He seems to prefer when we are with him to go to sleep. He loves laying his head down and getting pets until he dozes off it's nice to know that he trusts me enough for that. What a babyyyy

    MomlsFunnyAF3. We have a dumpster kitty. My husband found her a few years ago under a dumpster while he was at work. He brought her home and everyone fell in love with her instantly. She's my baby and I love her. Her name is Miss Purr bc she purrs a lot and it's loud considering she's a petite kitty. She's probably at least 10 now.
